Science with a Twist:
The Biggest Gig of the Year
Louisville Science Center
Pump up the volume on science literacy at Science with a Twist: The Biggest Gig of the Year, presented by Brown-Forman. Join us on January 21, 2012, from 7 p.m. to midnight, where you can preview a new travelling exhibit called GUITAR: The Instrument That Rocked the World presented by AT&T, at the Louisville Science Center’s annual fundraiser. Enjoy a strolling hors d’oeuvres dinner, live music, cocktails, karaoke and All Access: Front Row Backstage LIVE!, a behind-the-scenes concert documentary in IMAX.
Tickets are available at various levels, starting at $100 for the main event. A portion of each ticket is tax deductible. Must be 21. Click here to purchase tickets or for more information.
We are pleased to announce the addition of Soul Incorporated, who will open on the main stage, followed by a guitar shred-off by local guitar great Greg Martin of The Kentucky Headhunters, and others. In between sets, the Louisville Crashers will lead live band karaoke, in the Digital Recording Studio, where attendees can record their mad music skills by playing, singing, or showing off with the music apps on their smart phones. (Sorry, no shower to practice in, but we might be able to arrange a mirror and hairbrush microphone.) Later on the main stage, witness rock for the ages when father and son Marvin and Max Maxwell perform an All-Star Jam between Soul Incorporated and the Louisville Crashers.
